Girl child

The term “girl child” refers to a girl or young woman who is still a child. The girl child is a vulnerable group, as they are often faced with gender-based discrimination, violence, and other challenges. There are many organizations anitiatives that work to support the girl child and advocate for their rights. The United Nations has even designated October 11th as the International Day of the Girl Child, to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by girls around the world.

One issue that the girl child often faces is access to education. Girls are more likely to be out of school than boys, and many girls do not have access to the same educational opportunities as boys. Another issue is child marriage, which is still a common practice in many parts of the world. Child marriage has negative effects on girls’ health, education, and economic opportunities.
